The show was developed by Dick Ebersol and the creation of the show was done by Lorne Michaels. The show is run on NBC and has been running on American television since 1975. The previous name of the show was NBC’S Saturday Night however later it was named as Saturday Night Life which is often abbreviated as SNL.
