The Debate So Far…
Honestly, I try to ignore Glenn Beck. But he’s been on a roll lately. Calling Obama a racist, then a communist, then joking about poisoning House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, then imploring his followers not to do anything violent based on his ranting. Obviously Rush Limbaugh felt the competition, so threw in his comparison of Obama to Hitler. Not to be outdone, Palin facebooked hysteria about “death panels” (which Glenn found reasonable), then felt compelled to issue her own admonition against violence. “See, Glenn, my followers can be destructively crazy, too!” One dude even brought his gun.
Meanwhile the object of their attacks is already willing to chuck the public option off the table, leaving us with dubious “co-ops.” I saw this coming when Chris Matthews was braying about it a month ago. And so here we are. Hopey hopey changey changey.
